Jean-Nicolas Gaillard was born in 1960. His grandfather and uncle were artists; He himself enters the fine arts of Nantes with a pronounced taste for drawing. It begins with illustrations in the press and then begins a production of paintings for maritime companies and shipowners. He will work 10 years in the creation of his works surveying the quays of Le Havre, Nantes and St Nazaire. At the hinge of the 2000s, he began his collaboration with the galleries, urban architectures become his favorite theme, his way then evolves and his work goes internationally. Currently, a new path is born reappearing the language of its beginnings, using a very colorful palette and pure flattens dressing female figures on staging that he imagines.
