Painting nature, preserving the memory of a place
My painting draws its source from the landscapes I have had the chance to discover over the course of my visits. Gardens, ponds, lush vegetation, and plays of light nourish my gaze and inspire my work.
From these real places, I seek to transcribe much more than their appearance. I wish to preserve the atmosphere, colors, light, and the emotion felt at the moment of discovery. Painting then becomes a way to prolong the lived experience, to keep the memory of a landscape, and to give it new life on the canvas.
My free gesture, the overlays of material, and the color contrasts allow me to translate the richness of the plant world and the variations of light. I do not seek to faithfully reproduce every detail, but to restore the vitality of the place and the sensation it left me.
Through my works, I invite the gaze to enter these familiar yet always changing landscapes, to linger there and to rediscover the sensitive link that unites us to nature.
Each painting is thus a trace of travel, a living memory of a place encountered, and an invitation to contemplation.
