A Pop energy, a singular universe
From New York to the hills of the Southwest, Rolf Saint-Agnès develops a colorful, free, and constantly evolving body of work. Born in Paris in 1969 to a French father and a Swedish mother, he moved to New York at the age of 20 and spent ten years at the heart of the American art scene. This experience profoundly marks his pictorial language and anchors Pop Art in his DNA.
Influenced by Warhol, Lichtenstein, and Haring, he appropriates their codes to reinvent them. Icons of art history, popular symbols, figures of American culture, animals, and trees become the actors of a singular universe, where intense colors, movement, and humor meet a poetic sensitivity.
Based in Tarn, his studio is a space for experimentation where he constantly evolves his painting, balancing graphic power, freedom of gesture, and material play. Behind the immediate impact of the images, his work invites viewers to see differently what they thought they knew.
Rolf Saint-Agnès exhibits in France and abroad, notably in Paris, New York, and Stockholm. He also creates commissions for companies, institutions, and private collectors, including a monumental work of 15 × 12 meters for a Franco-German company in Alsace.
Faithful to the energy of Pop Art, he pushes its boundaries to create a dialogue between popular culture, imagination, and the living world.
