Daniel Dunt
Daniel Dunt (b. 1995) is a British designer, writer and artist from Colchester, Essex. He lives and works between the UK and Dortmund, Germany.

Daniel’s practice explores notions of time — origin, memory, journey, desire — depicted through multi and mixed media.

“Where we have been and where we are heading” is a thread that leads the work in most instances. Whether obvious, physical or more abstract, much of Daniel’s work is highly narrative, often with elements that err on documentary.

“Making art is time travel. Whether it’s with a lens, brush or pen, it is through the process of creating that I learn about the world. It can take you back to the origins of humanity, catapult you through myth and memory, or send you into the future and help you to understand what may be on the horizon. But you can have fun with it — which is why my work is a constant negotiation between reality and imagination, with a good amount of fantastical speculation.”
