Sovann Kim
The works of Sovann Kim have been represented by the Catherine Putman gallery in Paris, and exhibited at international fairs such as ART BASEL, FIAC Paris, ARCO in Madrid, as well as at the Museum of Fine Arts in Nancy and the Triennale in Biella, Italy.

Among public and private collections, his works have been acquired by the art libraries of Caen, La Rochelle, Amiens, La Roche-sur-Yon, Hennebont, Axa Art...

His work questions our environment and its discreet poetry. He relies on ordinary and real elements around us: plants, food, minerals... Digital exploration allows him to read their structures, their textures, like an architectural code. A digital dialogue is established to reveal the substance of the subject, its metamorphosis, even its decomposition.

The series "Elevations" explores the richness of information from the so-called "general staff" maps of today or from the 18th and 19th centuries, with a great abundance of graphic and objective details that allow him to express through digital research his vision of the grand landscape and particularly its complexity, while proposing new landscape territories with contours and structures close to a primitive imagination.

Thus, except for the editions in "blue carbon," the limited editions of Sovann Kim are original works in their own right, and not reproductions of originals.
