Aziz Anzabi

Aziz Anzabi is an artist who bridges tradition and modernity, using personal and collective memory to inspire political awareness. His experiences during the Iran-Iraq War and interactions with iconic Iranian artists like Bahman Moasses and Sohrab Sepehri deeply influenced his vision, focusing on themes of exile and oppression.

Anzabi’s art blends abstraction and figuration, featuring symbolic, fantastical landscapes and distorted forms that resonate universally. Integrating technology with the ancestral Qajar tradition, he creates powerful works that serve as timeless, unconscious testimonies, prompting reflection on our future.

Through his unique blend of artistic expression and political commentary, Anzabi embodies a new form of poetic activism, challenging societal norms and awakening collective consciousness.
