Dina Goldstein
Dina Goldstein, an artist whose career spans more than three decades, has evolved from photojournalist to independent narrative photographer. Her complex work comments on society by blending cultural archetypes with human stories. Inspired by surrealism, she reveals the underbelly of contemporary life, questioning dominant cultural influences. Her series "Fallen Princesses" (2007-2009), criticising Disney fairy tales, won her the Virginia Prize in 2014. "In The Dollhouse" (2012) explores ideals of beauty with Barbie and Ken dolls in a life-size dollhouse. Her project "Gods Of Suburbia" (2014) depicts deities adapted to modern life, questioning ancient belief systems in the contemporary era. His work has been exhibited around the world, sparking discussions about the relevance of traditional beliefs.
