Sources of inspiration as a creative engine
A child already, Olivier Carpent's gaze was attracted to torn posters on the walls and by the graffiti on the palm palisades. Olivier Carpent has always been marked by the work of photographers like Vivian Maier, Robert Doisneau, then more recently Lee Jeffries, Eammon Doyle and many others, for their relationship to humans.
In terms of street art, its affinities lean towards the works of Hendrik Beikirch alias ECB. Regarding the "world" of the stencil, it was artists like C215 or Jef Aerosol who guided it. Considering real potential to express his feelings by creating, Olivier Carpent has embarked on the art world, which he explores with his stencils and his aerosol bombs.
When art and street are only one
Olivier Carpent has been making parts on different supports for over two years: wood, metal, cardboard or canvas. The manufacture of stencils requires preliminary a lot of reflection, such as the meticulousness necessary for the realization of the matrices (one per shade of color) and whose cutting requires time. This allows you to appreciate the result all the more, as the application of each paint layer is applied, made with the aerosol bomb.
