Hervé Di Rosa

Hervé di Rosa was born in Sète (France) in 1959. He lives and worked in Paris, Mexico and around the world around his stages around the world. His first Parisian exhibition, "finish in style", in 1981. The artist was then honored in Amsterdam and Düsseldorf, then at the Museum of Modern Art in the City of Paris. Winner of the Medici Foundation, he resides for two years in New York, where Barbara Gladstone Gallery presents her work. He also participated in the 1985 Biennale in Paris whose poster he designs. It was in 1989 that Hervé Di Rosa collaborated for the first time with local craftsmen by carrying out two serigraphs in an advertising print workshop in Tunis. In 2000, he founded the International Museum of Modest Arts in Sète. From the Sogetsu Kai Kan Foundation of Tokyo to the Bass Museum of Art of Miami Beach, via the Evo gallery to Santa Fe, the artist crisscrosses the world to intertwine the cultures and the modes of expression of each country where he resides . & nbsp; contemporary French painter, he was with Richard Di Rosa, François Boisrond, Rémi Blanchard and Robert Combas one of the main craftsmen of the French movement of "free figuration", renewal of painting in the 1980s, a painting borrowing Often comics, rock and graffiti. The liveliness and the tones found in the work of Hervé Di Rosa, make him a globetrotter artist nourished by cultures of the world, a real initiatory journey: Miami, Mexico, Africa, Cuba, Israel, Vietnam, South Africa, Haiti, Tunisia ... The artist is in the news of his time with a colorful style, graphic with a painting that refers to the popular arts. He claims to belong to a mass urban culture.
