Thibault Lepeudry

Thibault Lepeudry is a lover of nature, abstraction, and colors. A few silhouettes adorn his canvases, a hint of humanity with a certain strangeness in the shapes. The precision and finesse of his layers of colors are reminiscent of the Impressionist movement.

Ode to nature and wandering between reality and imagination

Thibault Lepeudry first approached painting at the age of 14 by copying famous paintings by Monet, Sisley, and Van Gogh. Later, he took courses on the basics of oil painting with a passionate admirer of Impressionism. At 17, he honed his skills alongside the famous Rouen painter Denis Godefroy, of whom he became a student.

Strange, did you say strange?

The artist Thibault Lepeudry is particularly inspired by the world around him. Nature and trees regularly feature in his work, and he enjoys oscillating between reality and abstraction. Thibault Lepeudry now works with watercolor, acrylic, Chinese ink, and oil pastel on various supports.

Music plays an important part in his work (meeting with the virtuoso Nikolaï Demidenko) as it guides and influences him throughout his creative moments. Bach, Scarlatti, Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert, Chopin, and also Schumann leave their mark on the work of Thibault Lepeudry, devoted to contemplation.
