Sasha C. Bokobza

Sasha C. Bokobza is a multidisciplinary artist: painting, music, theater, graphic design, and video.

Graduated in 2003 from ENSAD Paris, she became an artistic director for France Télévisions, TF1, and then CNRS. She founded Studiomerci and teaches in a Master's program in digital creations.

Since her residency at the Gorki Leninskie Museum in 2017 (Russia), her paintings have traveled around the world. She participates in numerous exhibitions, such as the Salon d'Automne since 2019.

Her visions call upon different mediums that complement each other: painting, photography, video, music, and writing. She focuses on observing light, decor, movement, and the romantic feeling from reality, proposing a figuration nourished by her cinephilia.

In 2018, she composed the portrait of a fictional character, the Pink Cow-Boy, in 3 parts: music, painting, and theater. Paul Kimble (Grant Lee Buffalo) produced the album, Nasty Boy, released in 2022.

She then invites actors to reenact scenes from films of the golden age of Cinema in the decor of hotel rooms. This series of oil and pastel portraits leads to the personal exhibition HOTEL CINEMA in a gallery in Paris in 2022.

Her practice of live drawing in color is daily.
