"In my practice, I conceive painting from an expanded perspective, as a tool to activate perception and senses. I appropriate elements that persist in the unfolding of our everyday imagination and question their uses. I seek to reveal how these structures shape individual perception and influence social dynamics, in a world mediated by control, misinformation, conscious alienation, economic asymmetries, success, failure, and spectacle in contemporary life.
Through a synthesis of forms, the variability of their supports and a symbolic approach in the treatment of color, I conceive it as a favorable field between reflective thought, matter and that type of state or temperamental nature of the pictorial space and its temporality. Some of my approaches allude to categories close to the realm of the surreal. They also point towards the systemic or programmatic, in some cases through architecture, as well as through a set of spatial resources such as urban signage and sculptural-pictorial devices with an industrial spirit."
