Valentin Renner

Valentin Elias Renner, 25 years old, moved from the south of Germany — specifically from Ulm — to Hamburg three years ago. About two years ago, he had the opportunity to present his art publicly for the first time as part of a group exhibition, which ignited a powerful creative spark in him.

What followed were two intense years of self-discovery, growth, and ultimately the leap into full-time self-employment as an artist.

His works are created through the meticulous technique of string art — using thousands of nails and threads on wooden panels. They often explore the tension between order and chaos, inviting viewers to lose themselves in the optical illusions generated by moiré effects.

Thanks to this unique technique, his pieces operate on multiple perceptual levels, offering a multidimensional and immersive visual experience that shifts with every angle of view.
