Manon Deck-Sablon, a young French photographer born in 1995 in Saint-Cloud and raised in southern France, began her studies at the School of Architecture in Montpellier before completing them at the Versailles School of Landscape Architecture in 2020. Her photographs delve into the sensitivity she developed through her training in landscape architecture and architecture, staging encounters between bodies and their surroundings.
The bodies she captures, anonymous and desexualised, blend seamlessly into their environments, creating scenes that are both absurd and poetic. Stripped of identity—be they women, men, or non-binary individuals—they become abstract forms interacting with their surroundings. Although her photographic journey is still recent, Manon Deck-Sablon's work has already garnered attention.
Manon Deck-Sablon has exhibited her works in group exhibitions in Milan and Paris, as well as at architecture festivals. Her work has also been published in art magazines such as Acumen and in architecture and society publications like Polygone and Figures.
Often compared to American artist Spencer Tunick for her approach and style, the French photographer leans more towards geometric compositions involving a smaller number of models.
