Juanjo Barreda

Juanjo Barreda is a Milan-based Spanish artist. His practice moves between painting, installation, and printed matter, focusing on serial image structures and their behaviour in space. Working with repetition, suspension, and modular arrangements, his projects often take the form of spatial configurations rather than discrete works.

Recent work has explored how images operate when organised in sequences or suspended formats that respond to architecture and viewer movement. While grounded in painting and print, the practice increasingly treats the image as something that can shift between flat surface and physical presence.

Barreda Aznar has collaborated with architects and designers on site-specific installations. His current research extends these serial systems toward shallow sculptural forms, testing materials such as silicone and resins to introduce depth while maintaining a frontal logic.
