    Chris Shaw Hughes

    Through beautifully and painstakingly crafted paintings and drawings, Chris Shaw Hughes documents places with collective trauma in their history. He has a deft way with line that makes his work highly detailed, like a photograph (Aesthetica magazine called them "technical marvels"). He began using carbon paper to explore a 'negative' aesthetic and ideas of sensitivity to place and history.
