Halima Cassell

Halima Cassell is a Pakistani-born sculptor who creates large-scale clay works inspired by architectural geometry and African pattern work. Her sculptures tend to be simple in form but immensely complex in surface pattern. We love the dynamic and dramatic designs that Halima carves into her clay - astonishingly, each ceramic takes between 100 and 250 hours to make!

The artist was brought up in Manchester and studied at the University of Central Lancashire. She is now a visiting lecturer at
local and international universities, museums and galleries. Halima has also been elected a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors.

The sculptor has exhibited her work in the UK and abroad, and her work has been featured in UK publications like Homes & Garden. She has also been commissioned to create works for various public and private clients, including a number of cruise liner companies.
