A Bordeaux-born photographer, Emilie Moysson perfected her interest in light by working with leading fashion and portrait photographers.
A portraitiste engaged
After graduating in photography from the École des Gobelins in Paris, Emilie Moysson photographed directors Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud for the press kit for the film Persepolis, then Spike Lee, Mathieu Kassovitz, John Malkovitc, fashion designers Marithé & François Girbaud, actors and journalists Afsia Herzi, Thierry Fremont and Ivan Levai, artist Annette Messager, musicians Archie Shepp, Nicolas Jaar and the Magnetix, among others.
She works as a photographer for art, film, music and fashion magazines. She also teaches photography and runs workshops.
Light as a common thread
Emilie Moysson is developing a more personal style of artistic work, in which she searches during her travels around the world for the moment when the marvellous appears in stark reality, on the lookout for a point of view that leaves the viewer untouched.
The view, the angle, the frame, the light, all allow her to serve the quest or the creation of an extraordinary moment that will allow the viewer to take their breath away. Emilie Moysson invests each of her series with a great deal of sensitivity, bringing meaning to them without dismissing the dream, the marvellous and the enchanting.
