Arnaud Baumann, born in 1953, is a French photographer renowned for his deep portraits and vivid reportage. Starting out alongside Xavier Lambours, he quickly made a name for himself with his landmark contributions to Hara Kiri and Charlie Hebdo magazines, capturing the essence of fleeting moments. His work extends to prestigious publications such as Libération and Paris Match, testifying to his artistic versatility. Notably, Baumann immortalised the effervescence of the Palace in the 70s and 80s, capturing the spirit of an era of freedom. Specialising in portraiture, he excelled at revealing the soul of his subjects, thanks to the sensitivity and precision that characterise his work.
