Bénédicte Klène

+Follow

Bénédicte Klène lives in Brittany. His artistic work aims to be open and protean (drawing, small edition, artist books, painting, installation, performance). Paper and drawing are always at the center of its creative process. A columnist for the ephemeral, Bénédicte Klène tension the relationships between the drawing and the snapshot, the graphic report and the documentary survey. For more than fifteen years, she has been collecting and drawing "little things" in Leporello notebooks, long kept secret, which she made at the workshop. His works favor an experience of the gaze that questions our relationship to memory, time and displacement, world and landscape. From Brittany to Vancouver, passing through the Atlantic Islands, Mont-Blanc, the Great Metropolises (Paris, London, Brussels, Vancouver) even in the whiteness and solitude of the Arctic, she drew an amazing collection of views at 180 ° who unfold in accordion. In his most recent drawings in the series "Panoramas of the little things in the ends of the world", the artist chooses and selects privileged points of view which provide the world of gaze, to have it, even to lose and dissolve it.
