Jean-Pierre Gerome was born in 1950 in Lyon. He began to sculpt in his father's workshop from childhood, then continued to work permanently, and became professional in 1982. After trying many materials (wood, tin, earth, stone, plexiglass, assemblies, plaster etc ...), he decides to focus on wood. His work is based on the unconscious, the waking dream, poetry, nature, the myths of creation of the world. Jean-Pierre Gerome works at the wood chisel, in exchange with wood.
