Leigh Clarke


Leigh Clarke is a working artist printmaker and Print Tutor at the Royal Academy Schools London. He is interested in the wider subject area of print, and has worked through a range of print media to undertake projects, performances, exhibitions and editions.

He has been commissioned to create work publicly that have addressed social issues around community and inclusivity. These include Arts Council England funding for work in Stoke-on-Trent, The Whitstable Biennale, a project for the regeneration of the Lea Valley with Create London, a community facing print project at Le Centre de la gravure et de l'Image imprimée and a public installation for the Margate Festival in conjunction with Turner Contemporary.

His work has been exhibited internationally and he has undertaken residencies in Antwerp, Norway, China and New Zealand. He has shown his work at the Walker Art Museum Liverpool, The Whitechapel Gallery London, The Royal Academy and the Turner Contemporary Margate.
