Rise Art News

Nick Malone @ Art Bermondsey

Right: Encounter XIII, £249

Nick Malone is having a solo exhibition at the Art Bermondsey Project Space. The exhibition crosses art forms, linking large, dramatic works in charcoal, burnt wood and canvas in the main gallery with a smaller room that recreates with sketches and a soundscape a chapter from the graphic novel he is currently writing: 'The Disappearance of Makepeace, A Tale of Two Lives'. We can't wait.   Cecilia Danell @ Galway Arts Centre

The World Exists, £700

Cecilia's latest solo show opens tonight, showcasing her latest paintings inspired by a 'post-nature future', where 'the unconscious mind will be the last wilderness'. A chilling theme for such beautiful paintings. If you're in the area we recommend going to the show and drinking in her atmospheric, original works.   Etienne Clement / INSIDE ARTISTS

Right: Sans Culottes. Eat Cake! Says Queen, £2,400

The fabulous French artist, Etienne Clement had a feature in last month's INSIDE ARTISTS edition, as part of a spotlight on artists who are proving that bigger isn’t always better.

Henry Rowsell @ Gallery 40

You Are Actually Here, £1000

Henry's latest solo show, 'You Are Actually Here', is showing right now at the gorgeous Gallery 40 in Brighton. Showcasing some of his latest works, the show promises to be delightfully expressive and colourful. For anyone near the area this is a must-see, so head down before March 19th to see his expressive, vibrant works in the flesh.

Maria Magenta @ L'exposition "Promenade Cote D'Azure"

Right: Still Life with Dried Flowers, £2,955

Maria Magenta took part in a group exhibition this week in the stunning French principality, Monaco. Our curators can't get enough of her latest works, portraying the beauty of the female form with a sympathetic, visual poetry. We're sad to have missed this show (and not just because of the location!)
