Samantha Gare
Sam is self-taught and is inspired by her travels to barren spaces & immense landscapes. Her travels to the isolated parts of the world have created a portfolio illustrating places often forgotten, beaten by extreme weather, and sometimes with harsh & unforgiving environments. These places create beautiful displays of light and atmosphere, give you space to breathe and have their own silent beauty.

Incredibly fascinated by how different people see the world and their differing feelings, responses and interaction with a landscape/place she uses mix mediums to capture a thought. The spirit and the mood of a space rather than just an image.

Currently based in London Sam studied Film Studies at University before working for institutions such as the Natural History Museum, Royal Botanic Gardens Kew and the Royal Horticultural Society. Although Sam has only been exhibiting her work since December 2013, she has been painting most of her life. Motivated by a trip to the Outer Hebrides last year she decided to share her work with the world she is so inspired by.
