More Works by Delphine Grandvaux
Delphine Grandvaux
Delphine Grandvaux creates sculptures in wire characterized by their lightness and transparency. She places her work within a deep exploration of matter and form.
After several years dedicated to clay, she turns to wire to give birth to more aerial forms, freed from weight. This transition from earth to metal marks a crucial step in her research: from a sculpture centered on mass, she evolves towards a writing made of lines, space, and light.
Inspired by the living and its biological structures, she explores its multiple facets in search of a balance and an emotion capable of nourishing the imagination. The volumes that result seem to grow, unfold, and vibrate like organisms in transformation or in motion.
In her universe, emptiness occupies an important place. It traverses the sculpture, offers it a breath, and makes space and light integral elements of the composition. The gaze is not halted by the form: it circulates through it. This relationship to emptiness establishes a poetic dimension and reveals the fragile balance of things.
Delphine Grandvaux's approach is part of an open, constantly evolving research. She offers a sensitive experience of matter, space, and light, inviting contemplation of both the fragility and the vitality of the living world.
