Eric Niebuhr

Eric Niebuhr is an American-Australian artist currently based in Hong Kong. The artist engages directly with his surroundings or works with found imagery, then uses computer-aided software to manipulate his sources to various degrees of abstraction and representation. By combining different mediums, Eric creates thick and tactile painted areas on the canvas.

Eric gained his MFA from the Claremont Graduate University in the US and has shown his art extensively on an international platform. In addition to receiving reviews in Artforum magazine and The Los Angeles Times, he has had recent interviews in Artnews, The South China Morning Post, Reuters TV, and RTHK.

Recent exhibitions of the artist's work include, Ka Kee Gallery of Objects, Hong Kong, Devin Borden Gallery, Houston, and the Damien Minton Gallery in Sydney.
