From her first steps in sculpture, Marie Ange Pol sculpted wood and marble to extract curves, voluptuous forms that tell people, life, dreams ... No need for details, the line is refined; Without detour or artifice it is the attitudes and the matter that speak. Also his women are round, sensual and above all generous by the sweetness and fullness they give off. Always in this same research, she then approached the theme she calls "the recreational" where she walks in the playful world of childhood. With a surely more humorous, sometimes more caustic look, due to the exaggeration of a detail or a situation. It presents, among others, cherubs with round bellies and plump buttocks, climbing improbable obstacles, little girls and little boys who crunch life and look at the world from the top of their carelessness. Following this human exploration, it was also interested in plants by drawing inspiration from nature, which constitutes its daily environment, and its different stages of evolution. When she sculpts a fruit, a seed, a pod, there again it is a question of emphasizing the purity of her line, the harmony of her curves, while respecting the sobriety or the complexity of her shape. Only the size changes and sometimes the patina, which gives its subjects a new visibility and refers the public to question its own environment and the knowledge it has.
