Born in Troyes, François Davot is a painter and illustrator of youth works and historical documentaries for the Grands Edition houses in France and abroad. If it relies on reality and endeavors to make the traces of time by his technique to confront them with evocations of the present, it is to better underline the ambiguity between the displayed realism of the subject and the share of 'imaginary that he induces. The panels, walls or doors marked by time (sometimes close to abstraction) distant, the colored rectangles energize and bring together. The whole gives a timeless side.
