    Sepideh Mehraban

    Sepideh Mehraban is an Iranian born artist based in Cape Town, South Africa. The artist uses layers of paint to express personal memory, existence and experience. Equally, Sepideh looks to address contemporary Iranian history through both figurative and abstract works. She often draws on the grid format of newspaper as a source of inspiration.

    Sepideh obtained both her BA and MA degrees from Alzahra University, Tehran. Following this, she was awarded a postgraduate diploma in Fine Art from the University of Cape Town and has since completed a second MA degree at the institution.
