Re McBride’s Education & Inspiration
Re holds a BFA in Painting and Art History from Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Philadelphia, the USA, and an MFA from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, USA. Original oil paintings such as Mosquito Point offer thoughtful, textural displays. Rippling waters and shivering leaves are captured with an impressionist’s attention to detail and an expressionist’s joy for emotional exploration and subjectivity.
Exhibitions & Projects
In 2014, Re moved to Brooklyn, NY, receiving the Brooklyn Art Space residency in Gowanus. Since, she has participated in several exhibitions in Manhattan and Brooklyn and had her landscapes published in the online magazine Dilettante Army. Re has also contributed artwork for music albums and painted a mural at First Street Green Art Park on the Lower East Side.
