Mohammed Sami paints ambiguous and uncanny scenes where usually innocuous objects are loaded with a sense of impending horror. His work injects trauma - and the fear and paranoia that accompany trauma - into the everyday, leaving the viewer's imagination to consider what might lurk just beyond the fame. To coincide with Sami's exhibition at Camden Art Centre, which runs from 27 January to 28 May 2023, we have curated a selection of artworks that, in this context, fit with the spirit of his practice.
