Abi and Roz both create every canvas. When together, they paint on the same piece at the same time (Abi is right handed and Roz is left). If the pieces are smaller, they work on multiple paintings together swapping from one to the other, building up the texture and colour in layers.
Roz studied Fashion and Surface pattern at De Montfort University and Abi studied at Chelsea College of Art. They met working at a textile design studio in New York and after a few years they returned to the UK and freelanced for various London studios. At this time they often felt quite lonely and isolated, so created Tipperleyhill so they could see more of each other and reignite their joy of painting together.
Their work are in Artologie in Cuckfield, Nina Jex in Surrey and Lux Gallery in Birmingham. They have shown at Handmade in Edinburg, Roy’s Art Fair and have shown at Bath Art Fair in February 2022 and 2023.
