You’ve published two books: Decorating with Style and A Girl's Guide to Decorating. Can you tell us a little bit about those books?

Both books are hip hands on guides offering all the tricks, tips and inspiration you'll need to create a really stylish home. A Girl's Guide to Decorating (was the first book and is slightly more practical) so it's peppered with DIY projects. Decorating with Style takes interiors to the next level showcasing how you mix and layer up different styles, inject intrigue and play around with colour, scale and texture. Both have nothing to do with money and everything to do with confidence and style.

Do you have any secret dreams for the future?

I have zillions of secret dreams - a house in France or Italy to write, garden and potter around, and stores in NYC and Australia.

How did you get started working as a full-time interior designer?

I relocated about 15 years ago to the States with my husband's work and decided it was as good a time as any to change careers (previously I was a picture editor for a publishing house). I studied interiors by night and landed a job with an architectural practice by day. When we came back to England I pretty much went into full time.

How would you describe your personal style?

Glamorous, eclectic a little tongue in cheek

As an internationally renowned interior designer, what’s the most fun project you've ever done?

The spa for the Ritz Carlton in Palm Beach, which I accessorized, was one of the most challenging yet fun projects to date.

You own Abigail Ahern’s London store. Can you tell us a little bit about the store and what we can find there?

You can find an inventive and original selection of products barely seen elsewhere. A large proportional of my time is spent scouring the globe, so you will find a cool selection of playful lighting, textiles woven from the softest merino wool, furniture that's a departure from the norm oh and the coolest and most amazing selection of faux flowers that A list Hollywood celebs, hotels, and Royalty are snapping up! When you enter the store your senses are so tantalised that you don't quite know where to look - which is exactly my plan!
