  • My Teddy

    Combination between Glasgow and Arran series

    Flora's view from her studio at home in Glasgow, is a beautiful park and her best inspiration. She has her Teddy sitting behind the window for years, one day she was staring at outside, lost in her thoughts when she suddenly saw if her teddy is looking at the view and somehow is one with it. Sounds silly but this was what she saw which inspired her to creating this piece. Also during her time in Arran, she always felt if she was at home, that feeling made her to combine her view from home in Glasgow with Arran's Wooden House.

    Flora Alexander

    Flora Alexander is an Iranian artist who didn't always have safety, security or comfort. She began her search for a sense of home by moving to Istanbul, then India. She moved to Glasgow to study Visual Art, and has said: "All the things I was looking for I found here: the safety, security and comfort that was missing for most of my life.” She graduated from North Glasgow College in 2011.
