Anna's paintings and drawings are inspired by her experiences in locations where she feels present and comfortable. Whilst exploring Anna witnesses everyday activities between the people in that area. Afterwards, Anna paints or draws the observed figures and they are no longer whole memories, but fragments of the original location. The paintings and drawings become a trace of what did occur.
As visitors interact with Anna's painting installations there is a role shift. A viewer also becomes a participant and a stranger for another viewer. Moving through these installations corresponds to the way we weave through human traffic in the street. Engaging with the painting installations invites the viewer to consider how their experience relates to their interpretation of the work.
