Tina Mammoser
Tina Mammoser used Kickstarter to fund a studio move from London to Scarborough. Her proximity to the Yorkshire coastline is resulting in some incredible work. Her paintings are abstract, but clearly recognisable as seascapes. She captures the luminous quality of the light and air near the sea, with hints of natural or manmade structures.
Mammoser is originally from the US midwest, which she says gave her an eye for "flat perspective and vast open spaces". She's exhibited at the Royal Society of Marine Artists, National Maritime Museum, Dulwich Picture Gallery, and Derwent Art Prize show.
