Calling on various techniques that range from painting to drawing, including stencils and scriptures, Richard Vildeman designs his work as an assembly of graphic indices while balanced with a real work of color painter. To do this, for many years he has collected images from collective memory [archetypes], and [in the imagery of the world], in order to build a visual "encyclopedia". The artist selects fragments that he agrees so that, once gathered, these "become a carrier [s] of symbols, of poetic sense [unconscious]’ ’or commitment.
