Simon Job

Simon Job is a Welsh artist who uses mixed media to explore environments, both the natural and the built. His aim is to find, and to highlight, previously unseen beauty or peculiarity in his surroundings. In his series of paintings called ‘Trace’, Simon depicts several common plant species that grow in the area around his studio. These may be everyday specimens of our natural environment, but Simon draws attention to their beauty and uses the images to highlight the temporal nature of plant life.

The artist trained at Liverpool John Moores University. Since graduating, he has exhibited his work in several solo and group shows in the UK.
