Spotted - Lady Aiko takes over lower Manhattan

Street artist Aiko Nakagawa is the first woman to solo paint this coveted Bowery Wall

By David Smith | 12 Sept 2012

Thanks to Laughing squid for bringing us to attention of this great Aiko Nakagawa mural in NYC. The Japanese born street artist is the first woman to solo paint this historic wall, made famous by the likes of Shepard Fairey and Os Gemeos. We love Aiko's beautiful technique of portraying themes such as sexuality, femininity and pop culture.

If you're in NYC you can see the mural on the corner of Bowery and Houston. If you can't be there to see it, here's a couple of our favourite Nakagawa works.
