Out of Body: Alice Channer at South London Gallery, London

Installation View of Out of Body (2012) by Alice Channer

It's your last chance to see British artist Alice Channer's exhibition Out of Body at the South London Gallery in Peckham, which closes this Sunday. Channer has created a sculptural installation through which she continues to explore her fascination with the relationship between the human body, personal adornment and sculpture. Taking inspiration from Yves Saint Laurent sketches and showcasing casts of Topshop clothing, Channer's towering forms agitate issues surrounding the external framing of the human body.

South London Gallery, 65-67 Peckham Road, London, SE5 8UH

Jeremy Deller: Joy In People at Hayward Gallery, London

Installation view of Valerie's Snack Bar (2009) by Jeremy Deller

Also coming to an end this weekend is Jeremy Deller at the Hayward Gallery. Being shown alongside David Shrigley's Brain Activity, Deller's solo show hasn't received the same amount of press coverage, but is definitely worth the trip to Southbank to see before it closes. Including his Turner Prize winning film 'The Battle of Orgreave' and his 2009 installation Valerie's Snack Bar in which visitors are served with a complimentary cup of tea, this exhibition is the first major survey of Deller's work.

I Love You at Tenderpixel, London

Carried On (2007) from the series 'Marie Claire RIP' by EJ Major

Curated by Richard Ansett and featuring works by Grace Brown, EJ Major and Pete McGovern, I Love You is a new photography exhibition opening at Tenderpixel this weekend. Using the Diane Arbus quote "A photograph is a secret about a secret... the more it tells you the less you know." as a starting point, the exhibition aims to question the notion of constructed reality in relation to the medium of photography.  Running in conjunction with the exhibition is a series of talks, offering visitors the opportunity to engage directly with the artists themselves.
