By Rise Art | 27 Oct 2011

Last Chance ending Saturday October the 29th.

Lloyd Corporation, Connect. Conjugate. Continue at Carlos/Ishikawa, London.

The inaugural exhibition at the new space in London's East End; "Connect. Conjugate. Continue" by the Lloyd Corporation is a "a serious exploration of the relationship of commodity culture to human society, as well as a less-heavy handed satire of the wider art world’s engagement with the subject matter and substance of the world economy." Highly reccomended.

See the Rise Art event page for more details.

Jacob Kessay at the ICA, London.

Jacob Kassay’s canvases are simultaneously painting, sculpture and interactive installation. The exhibition includes a new body of work, in which Kassay continues his dialogue with the traditions of monochrome and colour field painting. Check out this piece in Time Out on Kessay's show at the ICA.

See the Rise Art event page for more details.

Robert Therrien at Gagosian, Beverly Hills.

Therrien has clear affinities with the preceding generation of Pop and Conceptual artists, together with inspirations and direct references from folk culture, cartoons, and American design. Working in both two and three dimensions, he transforms elements from the culture of everyday life into works of art that evoke classical archetypes.
