Michelle Loa Kum Cheung is an Australian born artist who works in mixed media to create impressionistic landscapes on wood. Mixing gold leaf and liquid graphite with her paints gives her pieces a warm, nostalgic tone. Her current work is a response to her cultural identity as an Australian with Chinese-Mauritian heritage.
The artist recently relocated from Australia, having studied Art and Design at the University of New South Wales.
Michelle recently exhibited her work at the Affordable Art Fair in London. She still regularly exhibits her work at art shows in Australia.
