Richard Wade
Richard Wade is a contemporary artist who paints liquid, dreamlike scenes. His paintings draw the natural world into the realm of the abstract, pulling the viewer in with organic shapes and fluid colours. We love the artist’s forest-scapes in particular, with their calming blends of blues, greens and yellows.
Richard studied at the Norwich University of the Arts. For five years, the British-born artist worked as an assistant to painter Ben Johnson while developing his own studio practice. He then became an artist in residence at the Anteros Arts Foundation in Norwich.
Various projects and commissions Richard has assisted with include a residency at the Walker Art Gallery Liverpool, a solo show at the Alan Cristea Gallery and a residency at the National Gallery.
