Yesterday we were lucky enough to make our touristic debut at Clerkenwell Design week. The three-day event sees creative spaces in Clerkenwell compére exhibitions, panel discussions and parties, to celebrate the best in international and domestic design. The exhibition is split up into four main arenas which are: Design Factory, Platform, Detail and Additions. Here's our visit via instagram.

In what looked like a scene from a James Bond film, main sponsor Jaguar UK collaborated with Italian lighting designers Foscarini to create a hypnotic installation, which will be on display at the Design Factory throughout the three days. You can see it in the top right corner of the image grid.   The House of Detention - a Victorian prison – housed designers aged 5 and under. Estonian designer Johanna Tammsalu's series of hand-spun blue ceramic lights was one of our favourites.   Tile Mile, created by architects Russ + Henshaw, in association with Turkish Ceramics, was another apex. This installation was part of the CDW Presents series, the festival also offers a range of newly commissioned projects and one-off workshops all over Clerkenwell.   And if you want to keep track of the best in Art and Design, Take our ART STYLE QUIZ and BECOME A MEMBER.
