One of a series of 12 paintings using cement on paper where much of the 'drawing' appears with the application of the cement. The surface area is modulated with thin or thick washes of varnish or acrylic before lettermarks and numbers are drawn. Imperfections are expected in the process, and the artist's decisions along the way reflect the nature of change and choice.

Andrew Crane is a UK based artist living in Northumberland.
