Kirsty O’Leary Leeson graduated in 2011 with a First Class degree from Norwich University of the Arts. Since then she has exhibited widely in her home county of Norfolk, and across the UK. She has been a finalist in the International Saatchi Drawing Showdown, been featured in BBC Television’s ‘Show Me the Monet’ and was Visual Art Trader’s ‘Artist of the Month’. Her practice explores both the physical and psychological geography of existence which she feels is complimented by her use of pencil on gesso where the subject matter of each drawing records the unfolding of an event. As much to do with reflection as with observation, her work represents the depiction of a fluid reality.
Kirsty has work in private and public collections in London, New York, the UK and the Middle East.
"It's not often you find work that wants to draw you in". Art Critic David Lee
