Isabelle Lebret

Isabelle Lebret was born in 1964. Restaurants in paintings and painter, she is installed in the Toulouse region. After portraits and animal paintings, she today explores the nude domain.
These are landscape bodies, all in curves and reliefs, highlighted by a light in chiaroscuro and the choice of monochromy on a plain white background.
His oil painting technique is a succession of increasingly dense and nuanced layers, carried by a precise and vibrant touch. The poses studied and the beauty of the bodies, seen through the prism of blue, lead us in a meditative, soothing and nourishing contemplation.

Moïra text:
"With the approach of each of these works, the question is: what is it given to us?
Is it a blue veil covering nudity with modesty, or, on the contrary, a revelation ...?
First, there is the choice of a color there; Not just any: blue.
Paradoxically, the nudes reveal themselves when blue invites us to introspection.
The sublime bodies then become the prerequisite of a more interior journey.
We are given to see a highlighting, tender and magnificent, which reveals both the beauty of the bodies, and the fragility, like strength, of their presence in the world.
Our gaze stops on these shares of being, fragmented or complete, which we thus think frozen.
Then, delicately, the magic operates; We almost perceive their movement, their breath, their heartbeat.
We patiently transpose until you see further in them, and therefore, in us ....
Until feeling what each naked calls emotions and contemplative state.
Through her paintings, Isabelle Lebret invites us to the journey of our own nudity, in what she has symbolism, a vital and sensitive force. "
