Geoffrey Ansel Agrons
'Melancholigraphy' is how Geoffrey Ansel Agrons describes his work. His photography is not so much sad, though, as deliberately empty or confusing. He captures spaces and situations which puzzle the viewer in a very subtle way.
Ansel Agrons says that his central focus is the uneasy co-existence…Show more of humans and the natural world. He's particularly drawn to boundaries between land and water, where this conflict is expressed. He often employs long exposure times to create his mysterious and alluring style. There's often a diaphanous quality to his photographs, or his subjects: steam rising, net curtains disturbed, fog laying low.
These are quiet, haunting images which reward contemplation.Show less
"Geoffrey Agrons photography is beautiful, diverse in scope and quite affordable to collect. His landscape shots capture all forms of emotion. This emerging artist is one to continue to keep your eyes on in the future."
