Jill came to full-time art in the mid-90s after lecturing in medieval French. Ancient maps and manuscripts showed her other ways of seeing the world and our place in it. She's also inspired by science and art and where they meet, in the patterns, surfaces and landscapes all round and inside us.

Now based at the Wolf at the Door, Hove, she has undertaken solo exhibitions, projects, commissions and workshops all over the UK and has work in collections from Peru to Tasmania. Recent highlight: 'Night Sky, Battle of Hastings 1066' as a poster at Regent’s Park Station. She regularly shows work at the Affordable Art Fair, the Nigel Rose Gallery and others, and takes part in Brighton Artists’ Open House.Show less
