About the artist
Sir Peter Blake is an iconic British artist who was made famous during the pop art movement of the sixties. Rise Art is excited to offer a number of limited edition prints from the artist, each signed and numbered. We love Peter’s colourful grid collages, which combine imagery from adverts and comics with celebrity photographs and flags.
Back in the sixties, Peter famously created the sleeve of The Beatles’ ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ album. He was one of the first artists to work in the pop art style, collaging images from adverts and the media.
The Godfather of Pop Art, as Peter is affectionately known, continues to produce work from his London studio. Although he is now in his eighties, the artist shows no sign of slowing down.

The Insider Anthony Fawcett says:
"The Godfather of Pop Art, Peter Blake is instantly recognised for his work with the Beatles, including the cover of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and his contribution to the Pop Art movement. Now in his Eighties, the artist is still prolific, creating beautiful works that are instantly recognisable, quite collectable, yet still very affordable."
